Prompt Engineering Reflection 

I used ChatGPT to create an alternate version of my resume. The prompts I used were “Rewrite my resume to target a Business/Data Analyst role instead of finance. Emphasize analytical skills, problem solving, and data organization while keeping my original work experience.”,  “Focus on  transferable skills from my jobs, such as efficiency, teamwork, and problem solving, and make them relevant to a data or business analyst position.”, and “Reword my job responsibilities to sound more professional and analytical, focusing on workflow, organization, and handling fast-paced environments.”. 

 The biggest differences were just really how the information was presented. In my original resume, my experience was described in a more general way, focusing on responsibilities like cooking, cleaning, and customer service. In the AI generated one, those same ideas were redone to show transferable skills such as efficiency, and  problem solving which made my experience more relevant to data related roles.

I’ve learned now how prompt engineering can play a big part in how AI like ChatGPT can respond. The more specific and clear my prompts were, the better the response. I also learned how the same experience can be adapted for different career paths.
